The Plains collection is based on a Greek hairpin from the 5th century BC. The head is that of a gazelle that walked across the plains of Egypt and Syria. The elegance, speed and innocence that the gazelle exudes was a great source of inspiration for the Greeks and other cultures in that area. The head is carved by hand from wax and is cast again and again, after which I turn it into a quirky piece of jewelry.
